Week 5
This week was a tough week for me emotionally and I was distracted by my mom’s health problems. She is doing a little better now and after her infection is gone she will need to have her aortic valve replaced because of the damage it sustained. They think the damage came from when she had rheumatic fever when she was a child. She is progressing in the right way and I am doing much better now!
This week we learned a lot about budgeting. We read talks by General Authorities. I loved the talk by Elder Wirthlin. He tells us that debt is a form of bondage and should be avoided. I know there are times when using credit is alright, like when you’re buying a house or getting an education. Our first goal with debt should be to pay it off as fast we can. I am thankful for the guidelines that we have to help us along our way. I also rediscovered how important it is to pay your tithing first. I am reminded of the many blessing that my family and I have received from paying our tithing. Sometimes I don’t think I am understanding the concepts of this class, but there are other times when I really do. We need to watch ourselves.
This week for my $100.00 dollar challenge I asked my husband to invest $20 dollars. I had mentioned this project to a few of my friends and while they are excited about the bath bombs, they weren’t very interested in investing. No worries there. I also looked around Amazon and I am getting ready to order the ingredients for my product. One thing that I totally forgot about until today is how I am going to package these bath bombs. I guess I need to look around and get some ideas. Have a great weekend!
