Week 10
This week has been a good week. I started typing out my interview and was able to finish! I enjoyed the reading for this week and I was able to learn more about Burt’s Bees. I enjoy their products and it was nice to learn how and where they started up. I thought it was interesting that she started from humble circumstances and ended up with a million-dollar business. My most favorite thing that I learned from Roxanne was that she was debt averse. She didn’t want to get tied to anything that she couldn’t leave if she wanted to. I want to be more like that. I think doing our best and using the resources that we have been given we can build and help each other. I want to be able to help people with my resources, and I can’t really do that if I am in debt. I hope that makes some sense.
My business is going well. I made some more bath bombs and was able to do it when the humidity wasn’t terrible. I was able to sell some to a family member and am still looking for more people to sell to. I think next week I might try to do a buy 2 get one free. Or I could give out a sample of a different scent with one of the small molds that I have. I am continually looking for new scents to try. I am quite surprised by the success that I’ve had with what I have sold. I hope next week to sell more. My daughter is getting quite interested in helping me do these bath bombs. She is a good helper and I’m glad that she wants to spend some time with me, even though she doesn’t get to test the product as much as she wants to. She gets to test the left-over mixture that won’t fit in a mold because there isn’t enough.
